ESYLUX PROTECTOR K smoke detector
Many people are killed by fires every month – most in their own homes. The commonest cause of death is smoke poisoning. As a person’s sense of smell is not active during the night, around two thirds of all fire victims suffocate in their sleep.
Safety campaigns have increased public awareness and have led to a greater uptake of home smoke detectors.
In the event of a fire, it is essential that the alarm is raised as early as possible to allow residents the chance to escape from deadly smoke. Every second counts as even a few inhalations of the poisonous fumes are fatal.
The ESYLUX PROTECTOR K smoke detector has been developed to protect lives. In addition to meeting statutory requirements for smoke detectors, it is tested in accordance with DIN EN 14604, VdS and TÜV.
Thanks to its 2-wire connection, the device can be networked for added safety. As a result, up to 30 PROTECTOR K smoke detectors can be connected up, allowing the alarm to be transmitted throughout the building if a fire starts in the cellar, for example.
Top quality ensures safety: an automatic self-test indicates any faults and the genuine electronic smoke chamber test gives the user the opportunity to check all the device’s functions from A – Z at the touch of a button. A special smoke chamber made of antistatic plastic means that the life of the device is significantly extended and false alarms are avoided.
The ESYLUX smoke detector is available in the following versions:
• PROTECTOR K with premium alkaline battery
• PROTECTOR K lithium with long-life battery
• PROTECTOR K 230 V AC for 230 V operation including backup battery.
ESYLUX products are available from electrical wholesalers.
