Cité Marianne, Lille

Energy-efficient and climate-friendly state administration

With five buildings spanning an area of 38,400 m², the Cité Marianne in Lille is one of the largest civic property projects in France in recent years. The administration complex serves as a workplace for around 20 state departments and over 2000 civil servants. With its architectural concept, which is strongly focused on bioclimatic criteria, and its technical equipment, the Cité Marianne is also the largest passive service complex in northern Europe – with photovoltaic systems covering an area of 2700 m², complete utilisation of rainwater and high biodiversity with 216 new trees, green terraces and hanging gardens.

Flexible switching of groups using DALI-2

In addition, an important contribution is made in all five buildings by energy-efficient and convenient lighting control from ESYLUX. APC presence detectors with integrated DALI-2 control unit combined with BMS presence detectors as input devices increase the flexibility in reversible offices, for example. When modular partition walls are opened and closed, the presence detectors automatically activate a different group scenario, whereby parameters and functions are easily adapted to the change in the room's use.

  • Offices with modular partition walls: DALI-2 presence detectors from the COMPACT series (APC + BMS)
  • Offices without modular partition walls: DUO DALI presence detectors from the COMPACT series
  • Restaurant: DALI-2 presence detectors from the COMPACT series (APC + BMS)
  • Foyers and entrance areas with wooden ceilings: COMPACT MINI motion detectors
  • Corridors, sanitary areas, side rooms: motion detectors from the COMPACT series
  • Installations rooms: motion detectors from the MD series
  • Parking garages: IP54 motion detectors from the BASIC series
