Kiel Science Park

Improving ventilation and lighting with a system

Kiel Science Park is right beside the University of Kiel and offers the businesses located there the opportunity to exchange scientific knowledge, to take part in cross-topic and cross-organisational learning, and to experience a culture of innovation. This site is where knowledge work, skills and quality of life intersect. In addition, state-of-the-art building technology improves energy efficiency and the general comfort of the people who use the site. These advantages are also useful when it comes to recruiting new employees with specialist skills — like the people joining the einsteineins team.

dc Services GmbH, a company that plans and implements intelligent building control systems in the commercial sector, chose the KNX building automation system for the site. Multi-sensor ATMO presence detectors from ESYLUX use energy-efficient methods to optimise air quality, temperature and lighting in working areas, sanitary facilities and break areas. Plug-and-play CELINE recessed lights and a DALI control provide pleasant, flicker-free human centric lighting.

  • Team working spaces, meeting rooms, quiet work zones, telephone cubicles, kitchenettes and sanitary facilities feature presence detectors from the ATMO series and ELC recessed lights from the CELINE series with Tunable White (installed via a plug-and-play concept based on ESYLUX driver sets with WINSTA connections from WAGO).
