Beaming, sparkling or simply shining — light is a fascinating element with countless aspects. The best lighting for people can be created with a demand-driven, sensor-based light management system, with a sensor that automatically provides optimal light ambience and also automatically switches the light off when no one is present. In short: A sensor that provides the highest quality of life and energy efficiency. As an automation specialist, ESYLUX builds on experience and expertise in electronics like no other lighting manufacturer. The results are intelligent lighting solutions that generate the perfect light in office buildings, educational facilities and health institutions. At any time, in any room.
The ideal light source for intelligent lighting is the LED. Its energy efficiency and extremely long lifetime aren't the only features that impressive: Because it is electronic, it is also perfect for intelligent control by electronic technology. However, not all LEDs are created equal. Whether its colour rendering, flicker factor or colour consistency — in the ESYLUX light laboratory we thoroughly test the quality of all luminaires.
As early as the binning process, or the selection of individual diodes, we take extra care to ensure that only the best LEDs find their way into our products — such as the LEDs in the luminaire head of the ISABELLE Office Floor Light.
There is only one standard for light quality: natural daylight. To come as close to this high benchmark as possible, we pay attention to the best possible colour rendering, among other things. We use all 15 test colours of the colour rendering index (CRI), rather than just the eight compulsory ones. We are one of the first manufacturers to expand our testing methods to include the colour quality scale (CQS). Together, the CRI and CQS guarantee the realistic rendering of even weak colours and highly saturated colours. This renders surfaces and objects accurately in the right light.
LEDs respond much more quickly and directly to the natural variations in alternating current than the classic incandescent lamp: They tend to flicker — a special challenge when developing top quality LED lighting. Even if the flickering is in an area which a person no longer sees, it can be tiring, create feelings of vertigo and, in some cases, even have far-reaching health consequences. Those concerned with the well-being of the building users place importance on lighting with as low a flicker factor as possible — of course, they will find it at ESYLUX.
To ensure that the lights in a series have the same light colour, we ensure a colour consistency that is well above average. It lies within a three-step MacAdam ellipse and guarantees that the lighting is harmonious within a room (such as in example B). In addition, we attach the greatest importance to ensuring that the white tones of our lights always correspond to a natural white, whether hot or cold. For this reason, we consistently conform to the black body curve of the CIE chromaticity diagram with extreme precision. Therefore, when we say white light, we mean white — just like sunlight!
Our intelligent lighting systems embody the ideal synergy between light and automation. The combination of ceiling lights, sensor and control unit can be easily installed and creates a perfect interaction that generates the best light for people — with the energy-efficient, biologically effective light of SymbiLogic technology, if required.
The CELINE Quadro sets: An economical and ready-to-install light system with the energy-efficient human-centric lighting of SymbiLogic technology from ESYLUX. The CELINE Quadro sets are a modular system and the NOVA Quadro sets include master and ceiling lights with directly integrated sensors and control unit. Absolutely identical: the intelligent, simple concept.
Automated lighting solutions with plug-and-play installation with no programming required — the CELINE and NOVA Quadro sets from ESYLUX are efficient in every respect. The cables required are included in delivery, the systems are ready for immediate use and can be conveniently reconfigured if required. The plug-and-play system saves up to 60% in installation time!
Whether aesthetics or function, styling or clever details — in addition to high operating convenience, when it comes to the design of a luminaire, it is important that it can be used flexibly, made for everyday use and, at best, still looks dazzling. Our intelligent lighting solutions demonstrate the benefits of successful design in a variety of ways.
It seems self-explanatory, but it's not: The multi design award-winning PRANA+ Office Floor Light not only has a sophisticated design, it has an integrated presence detector and SymbiLogic technology from ESYLUX. Your flexible luminaire head can also be modified to different desk lengths!
The optional, patented base for the PRANA+ Office Floor Light is additional proof that intelligent product design for the office can only be created by taking existing furniture variants into account: It can be extended allowing the light to be used even with desks that have floor-level side panels.
Like the PRANA+ Office Floor Light, the PRANA+ Pendulum Light knows how to impress with sophisticated, purist design. The connection cables ensure that the harmonious overall design is not impaired: they are so robust and artful that they simply and elegantly replace the suspension. Not only does it look good, it is also extremely efficient.
Sometimes it is the simplest details that determine the quality of a design. Time and again, you come across luminaires with a light source that floods the ceiling in which insects or other dust can enter unchecked from above. This is not the case with the ISABELLE Office Floor Light: Its indirect light is protected by a transparent cover.
In addition to business, functioning networks also enhance lighting opportunities and perspectives: They enable perfectly coordinated communication and automation that can be achieved through synchronised processes and even greater energy efficiency. Networking plays an important role at ESYLUX for the ongoing optimisation of the synergy between light and automation.
The prime example for intelligent networking in outdoor areas are the ALVA bollard lights with integrated motion detector. They can intelligently control the entire lighting group via DALI broadcast using the installed bus voltage supply and produce a convenient, synchronised orientation light on demand. 230-V end devices can also be integrated into the network via the DALI switch.
The PRANA+ Office Floor Light can be a truly helpful partner in interiors. It will not let you down when all your colleagues have already left the office: Via wireless networking and communication with other lamps of the same type, a soft, pleasant orientation light is maintained in the rest of the room. This prevents the formation of isolated islands of light and creates a lighting atmosphere that still lifts your mood, even when it is well past end of business. When the last person has left the office, the sensor technology automatically switches off all of the lamps.
With its four luminaires, sensor and control unit, the light systems of the CELINE and NOVA Quadro sets are ready for compact networking. However, they realise their full potential when it comes to modernising larger rooms. They can then be intelligently connected to each other and enhanced by additional lighting. The DALI switch also allows simple integration of conventional end devices — such as ventilation.

B Supplementary DALI standard light
C Downlights for additional ambient lighting, integrated by DALI switch
D Ventilation integrated via DALI switch for switching on/off dependent on presence
Only one thing is easier than manual switching or dimming the lighting with a button or app: calling up entire light scenes at the touch of your finger that completely and individually adjust the lighting to different conditions. The following example of a conference room illustrates how flexibly the rooms can be staged for respective uses: Fitted with the light system of the CELINE Quadro sets divided into two groups with SymbiLogic technology and integrated KNX module, plus round downlights that have been integrated into the system by the DALI switch. Ventilation is controlled by the KNX bus — and like all devices, is automatically switched off at the end of the meeting.
